I was mesmerised by a rather eye-catching tie whilst attending Luxuria 2006 at the Royal Opera House in London last week. The wearer turned out to be none other than Peter Shingleton, the force behind Saladin Mazetti.

Bodymetrics Made to Measure

Fresh off the press from the innovative crowd who brought us the perfect fitting jeans is Bodymetrics Made to Measure. They have teamed up with with three of the UK’s leading designers and tailors – Vivienne Westwood, Nick Tentis and Nick Holland, to create the perfect-fitting suit with their new high-tech tailoring service.

Bodymetrics scans over 200,000 data points on the body using rays of light in a matter of seconds, then produces a digital virtual replica of your dimensions. The scan is then used to produce a pattern that replicates the exact lines of your body. One of their in-house Consultants then designs your suit offering you choices of style, fabrics and fit... including quirky personal details such as photo buttons.

The Made to Measure range will be expanded each season so you will be able to take advantage of new cutting-edge designs on a regular basis. Oh, and once you’ve had your initial scan, you can order a new suit over the telephone. Wonderful.

Frieze Art Fair

The image that we project to the outside world starts with our personal image and styling, and extends to our homes and businesses. First impressions are powerful and say much about us to those entering our environments. For those of you with an eye on Interiors Styling, the Frieze Art Fair a must.

The fair takes place every October in Regent's Park, London. It features over 150 of the most exciting contemporary art galleries in the world. As well as these exhibitors, the fair includes specially commissioned artists' projects and an ambitious talks programme. The fourth edition of the fair will take place between 12-15 October 2006.
